review

LIKE
Twilight
Stephanie Meyer
Searching for the next big thing? Seems author Stephanie Meyer just might have found the cure with her new series, Twilight. This romance story is truly becoming more and more popular. The heroine, Bella, has moved from Arizona to Washington state to live with her father, Charlie. In classic style, she is immediately shown lots of attention by the local boys, but desires none of them. Instead, she is drawn to Edward, the guy sitting next to her in class and the one dude who seems repulsed by her. Edward has a dirty little secret, however. He's a vampire. Bella's attraction becomes strongre, even when she learns his secret, and ultimately, they fall in love. This is the story of love and the unique struggles that come with it. Readers are drawn into this fantasy world of forbidden love because Edward and Bella are the new Romeo and Juliet. Stephenie Meyer is so creative with it, and there is never a dull moment. The interaction between Bella and Edward is so electric, it jumps off the page In either case, Twilight is a young adult book and is very clean. There is no swearing and no sex whatsoever but it is about vampires, blood desire, and topics more appropriate for older kids so I'd say this one is for the over 16 crowd. Basically, Twilight is highly recommended.

20 minutes with the president

if i had a meeting with the president for 20 minutes i would first ask him how it feels to be the first black president of the united states ever. then i think i would bring up health care, and how expensive it is, and how we need a better plan so that everyone can be ensured and get the medical attention they need. i would let him know how scary it is to graduate high school and go off to college with everything being so expensive. i would ask him what his advice would be. i also would bring up the issue of war, and ask him whats going on over there, because lately i havent heard anything. i would also want to talk to him about jobs, and ask what his plan was on creating jobs, and wages. also, the economy. i want to know his stance on that

in 4 years, i dont think this country will be drastically different. i think its going to take at least one term to fix what bush has done. i hope that the economy is way better than it is now because im scared for another depression. i think in 4 years i will be in college, still trying to pay things off, and trying to find some way to pay my bills. in 4 years, i want to continue college, hopefully happy and following my dream in criminal justice, with a good man at my side =] and really good friends

playing with poetry

At times it may be beautiful,
but at times you will get burned,
you may get lost in the sight,
and have no where to turn.

If you get to close and something goes wrong,
it can leave a scar,
at times it can be so big,
you can sense it from afar.

its a force that is hard to stop,
and can change some peoples lives.
so you grab the things closest to your heart,
and hold onto them tight.

love is like a...

I loved you; even now I may confess,
Some embers of my love their fire retain;
But do not let it cause you more distress,
I do not want to sadden you again.
Hopeless and tonguetied, yet I loved you dearly
With pangs the jealous and the timid know;
So tenderly I loved you, so sincerely,
I pray God grant another love you so.

-Alexander Pushkin. www.poetry.com

4. i think the auther is saying how even if you are not with somebody anymore, you can still love them. and if you truly still love them, you will still want the best for them.

5."some embers of my love their fire retain" is an example of a metaphor for saying he still loves her.

random blog

so this weekend was pretty crazy. on friday i went to my friend tess's house where we had a bon fire and a bunch of random people came. it was pretty fun but it rained a little bit so there was really no fire. people started going home around 12 and me and my friend heidi spent the night. When we woke up saturday morning they dyed my hair blonde because i had a wedding to go to that day with my boyfriend as my date. when i got home i was getting ready and he calls asking what time he should be there. i noticed that he was acting funny so i asked him what was wrong. finally he told me that we should break up, because he needs to fix his prioritys and he felt that i deserved better. after that, the wedding was not fun at all. everything i was excited for was ruined because i couldnt take my mind off of the situation. anyway, its been a couple days and it hurts but im slowly getting over it. sunday was fun though. i hung out with my friends megan and jeff. we drove around and got cold stone and watched a bunch of movies. they made me feel alot better.
